We are a diverse group of women who share a passion for pregnancy and the birthing process. We encourage you to speak with several doulas to find one that will be the best fit for you. Our doulas are independent contractors, and may vary in services offered. Many are willing to travel to other cities and towns near Salem, so please call to inquire about availability.

Caylan Wagar Birth Doula
HI! I'm a doula through DONA. I'm passionate about childbirth and of course those big beautiful pregnant bellies. I have a daughter and am looking forward to having more with my husband. I can't even fathom the miracle of life and how luck y we are as women to carry a baby. Read Psalm 139:13-18 to grasp the beauty I think God intended pregnancy/motherhood to be, both inside and out of the womb.

Katie Boyd Birth Doula - on maternity leave until Oct. 2008
I completed my DONA training in April 2007 and am eager to dive into birthing work as a doula and maybe someday as a midwife. I am deeply committed to women's issues and spirituality. I believe that birth is a spiritual process that should be nurtured, as well as a natural process that all women deserve support with. As a knitter, I understands well that many small patient steps can add up to a greater whole over time.

I am married and the mother of three boys who make my life very fun. The experience of giving birth to my children, all very unique and amazing events, set me on the path to supporting other women on their own childbirth journey. When I'm not immersed in all-things birth, I enjoy reading, writing, hiking and catching up on my favorite television shows.
