Giving birth is precious and powerful, a satisfying and challenging life experience. Going into it can feel overwhelming. Every woman deserves the support and encouragement that best suits her unique needs for her birth. My heart's desire is to provide that for you.To prepare for this event, I meet with you to explore your options and possibilities, hopes and dreams, challenges and fears. Together we will find the physical comfort measures that work for you and the emotional support that fits who you are. As we get to know one another, you will grow in confidence in yourself and in trust that you will have the support you need throughout your entire birth experience.
Your husband/partner will also be offered support to optimally fulfill their role in the birth process. Your bond with your partner will be encouraged and strengthened as you go through this experience together.
The mothers I have worked with are fascinating, courageous and wonderful; they make this work fulfilling. I have been working as a DONA certified doula since 2006. I live in Salem and have been blessed with 2 daughters, a son, and 2 grandchildren . It is a privilege to come along side mothers in experiencing one of the most remarkable events of their lives.
