Salem Doulas is a community-rooted network of birth workers serving and strengthening families throughout the Mid-Willamette Valley. We believe every family deserves compassionate, culturally responsive support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, regardless of their background, identity, family structure, or life circumstances.


Our collective includes Birth Doulas, Postpartum Doulas, and Perinatal Support Professionals who are passionate about expanding access to care, reducing barriers to support, and ensuring families feel seen, heard, and supported throughout their perinatal journey. Many of our doulas reflect the diverse communities we serve, bringing lived experience, cultural understanding, and a deep commitment to equitable, relationship-centered care.

What We Do

We provide continuous emotional support, physical comfort measures during labor & an objective viewpoint, as well as helping parents obtain the information they need to make informed decisions.  Our nonjudgemental & loving support ensures parents feel empowered to advocate for themselves during pregnancy, labor & birth.

Postpartum Doulas

We offer education, companionship and nonjudgmental support during the postpartum fourth trimester, assisting with newborn care, family adjustment, meal preparation and light household tidying.

We also offer evidence-based information on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant soothing and coping skills for new parents and make appropriate referrals when necessary.
